Hanna is a registered nurse with over 8 years of experience providing exceptional, patient-centered care in multiple healthcare settings. Hanna earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Northern Virginia Community college in 2012 and understanding the rapid change in the healthcare industry, she decided to continue her education and achieved her MSN with a focus in Leadership and Management at Walden University in 2005. Hanna is a lifelong student and passionate about updating her knowledge so she can serve her community and recently went back to school and is working on her MSN-FNP. Hanna has worked in multiple settings namely MSICU, NeuroICU, and Rehabilitation where she has been for the last 6 years.

 

Hanna currently works as Lead Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist at a large teaching Rehabilitation Hospital. In her role, she is responsible for the daily planning, work scheduling and coordination, and operational performance Clinical Documentation Improvement program. She ensures the quality, consistency and timeliness of the facility coding and health record documentation comply with federal and state regulations. She provides education to onboarding staff to promote quality documentation.

 

Hanna is a member of American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) and also a Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS). Hanna strongly believes in understanding culture and heritage to be able to move forward. She has been teaching Amharic and bible studies in her community.
